What’s Happening at Where Next?

The world is changing, the way things were, are not the way things will be in the future. With this in mind, Where Next are evolving too! The future now includes full virtual and hybrid events, new ways of working in terms of offices and home, as well as clever ways to safely host in person events. It is a whole new world and Where Next are embracing it!

Where Next celebrated their 24th Birthday in June and we hosted a virtual birthday celebration to showcase some of what is out there for our clients. We started with our interactive virtual platform - Remo, and had some amazing entertainment and a delicious box of goodies delivered directly to the clients the afternoon before the event. It was AMAZING and we enjoyed getting to see and interact with our fabulous clients after not seeing them for months!

Since then, our virtual event exposure has grown and we now have 2 excellent offerings to encompass the clients every need. We also have some fabulous online teambuilding offerings – the Escape Room, Online Quiz, Scavenger Hunt…to name a few. We can arrange a virtual Photo Booth at your event and also pre-deliver tasty treats and spoils to your delegates before the event. We can certainly do it all!

We are also excited to be doing physical events again.

On the 01 September the as one of the Member companies of the PCO Alliance, in partnership with the SA Events Council, Event Safety Alliance and various superb venues around the country, successfully undertook a Proof of Safety Concept Conference to demonstrate to corporates and SA Business that the business events sector is ready to re-open in South Africa. The venues that generously sponsored these events were the Focus Rooms, The Capital Hotel Group and Cape Town International Convention Centre. They all adopted the SA Event Council Safety Guidelines, which were drafted during lockdown by the Event Safety Council.

The Focus Rooms was the main hub where the event was streamed to all the other venues. It was an impressive example of how a multi-venue, hybrid event can take place moving forward.
